Proper Maintenance on Your Newly Purchased Vehicle

Congratulations on getting a new vehicle. While you’re likely a long way off from your first oil change or maintenance check, Sun Auto Service wants to help you become more proactive when it comes to caring for your vehicle in order that it can last you for many miles to come. If you usually take care of your own vehicle yourself without the assistance of an experienced automotive expert, we recommend you do yourself and your vehicle a favor and leave the job to the professionals. Here are few reasons why.

New Technology May Be Beyond the Scope of Your Expertise

Various types of technology have gone through quite a surge of advancement, and automobiles are no different. While your car still has an engine, battery, gears, and runs on diesel or gasoline, it also has intricate onboard-computers designed to make your vehicle operate and perform more efficiently. While this software comes with a variety of advantages, it’s not without its complexities, ones that might be beyond your current level of automotive knowledge.

New Methods for Old Problems

Instead of taking your car or truck for a test drive or listening to the engine in order to determine the problem, an accurate diagnosis is now much more complex. Rather than there being a problem with your vehicle’s mechanics, the root of your issue could be that your automobile’s computer systems are causing problems with its performance. It’s best that you leave the diagnosis and repair to the experienced Sun Auto Service technicians. Doing so is likely to go a long way in keeping your repair costs down and any  overall frustrations manageable.

ASE Certification

In addition to our knowledge of the onboard computer systems installed in modern cars, our technicians are also fully certified by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence. The ASE is the industry’s governing body that decides on the evaluations and standards to which all auto mechanics must adhere in order to be considered competent and capable of performing their jobs.

In order to become ASE-certified, technicians must have at least two years of on-the-job experience or an associate’s degree in automotive repair paired with a year of training. To remain certified, mechanics have to complete retesting every five years to ensure they remain up-to-date on the latest industry standards and requirements.

Trust in the technicians found at Sun Auto Service’s service centers to take care of your newly purchased vehicle. It’s never too early to start protecting your newest investment.
